these 3 cryptic little maps were all created by a restaurant waitor
in a small spa town in the french alps. hard to say which town,
as my roadtrip partner and i decided not to bring a map; that we
would go wherever the wind took us and wherever people's
personal maps would lead. i really can't say these maps got us to
any of the landmarks that the garcon attempted to direct us to, but
we did find many interesting things along the way. [links]

later on i found that we were wandering around a region in the alps
called savoie, which is directly south of the little panhandle of switzerland,
and east of italy.
