Holographic
projection differs from that of film or video in that
the image is reconstructed through microscopic holes in
a transparent film by the concentrated light of a laserbeam.
The
image thrown in space is a mask of light which retains
the exact scale from the original model. Unlike
a film or video projection which is limited to only one
flat focal plane, the entire three dimensional length
of this image, from ears to fingertips, is in focus and
can be manipulated on a screen, most notably when the
film is moved, bent and warped.
I
was holding onto the film when this was recorded, thus in
the playback i am holding out the "window"
through which you see me: HELLO ! |
