like all of my maps of new york city thus far, i had never been to the city
before the maps were drawn, so these were designed to educate me on the
basic layout of the place. i'm still no expert to the massive place, but learning.

despite the claim at the top ('bad map"), i don't see this as a bad map at all,
since it carries with it the memory of dining with a beautiful friend that i rarely
have the pleasure of seeing since she relocated to the city that the map depicts.

such is the beauty of artwork created on napkins.
