brilliantly annotated map, made expressly to introduce me to the neighborhood surrounding the record store i had stopped into.  this map gets special mention as the top example of my collection regarding a detailed, comprehensive written elaboration of a the creator's unique knowledge of his (work) neighborhood.  this account of pike & pinestreet in seattle and their surrounding blocks is wonderfully sarcastic at times (i get tired of seeing trucker hats in hipster enclaves too, cameron!) and also nicely directed towards my interests with his list of "good record stores" and restaurant suggestions which are always helpful for a traveller.
