I have recently been working on a series of projects involving transmission. Instead of using radio, I am broadcasting sound using modulated visible light, and receiving such signals with light sensors and custom-made telescope-like antennas. This way, audio and visual information is instrinsically linked together, as you decode the messages in the light.
